Brakkeput Mei Mei

The open-air restaurant with its casual and tropical ambiance is located on the front terrace of an authentic 18th plantation house.

The menu offers a variety of meat, chicken and fresh fish dishes from the charcoal grill as well as typical Caribbean specialties.

Behind the historic country house and restaurant an 18-hole miniature golf course meanders through a beautiful tropic garden. Miniature golf is a popular game with young and old!

The playground is situated between the miniature golf course and Brakkeput Mei Mei’s own vegetable garden and orchard. Four big wooden playhouses placed on artificial grass and equipped with swings and slides offer hours of fun for kids up to 10 years of age.

The Plantation Brakkeput Mei Mei dates back to the beginning of the 18th century. The name “Brakke Put” means: a well with brackish water.

The plantation was used for raising cattle and growing corn and beans as a food supply for the slaves and cattle. Another part of the plantation’s products such as fruit, meat and dairy, was sold to the town’s people and the crew of the ships docked in the harbor.
