Free dive and snorkel together with the dolphins in their natural lagoon.
What can you expect?
Enjoy the opportunity to learn more about Bottlenose dolphins while free diving in their natural lagoon. You can free dive with the dolphins at 8:30AM and 2PM at the Dolphin Academy. The dolphins will dive down alongside you, allowing you to pet and interact with them underwater.
Additionally, you will be learning more about the dolphin’s echolocation through a fun, educational, and interactive activity! Most of the interactions will take place below the surface, so being an experienced snorkeler is considered a plus. Your time in the water is approximately 30 minutes. The whole experience will be about 1,5 hour.

Know before you go:
- Entrance to the Sea Aquarium is included for participants
- Children below a height of 1.45 m (4.8 ft) must be accompanied by a paying adult
- For each child under 1.45 m (4.8 ft), there must be one paying adult present
- Please arrive fifteen minutes before the program begins
- You must be an experienced swimmer to participate
- A snorkel set and fins are mandatory and provided by Dolphin Academy
- This experience is not accessible for pregnant women
- All observers, including parents/guardians signing waivers for minors, are required to pay the entrance fee at Curacao Sea Aquarium
- After your swim, you can visit the gift store to purchase your pictures or a nice souvenir
- Family and friends are more than welcome to take photographs from our observer areas
- There is a limit of max of 6 people, per 2 dolphins
Additional information:
- Dolphin Academy is one of the only facilities in the world that works with trained dolphins in the open sea.
- The dolphins reside on the premises of the Curacao Sea Aquarium in four primary lagoons interconnected by secondary basins and canals. The lagoons are in contact with the ocean, allowing a constant flow of fresh seawater and numerous fish and invertebrate species.
Refund and Cancellation Policy:
- A cancellation up to 24 hours prior to departure of the tour entitles the guest to a 100% refund.
- Less than 24 hours prior to departure, the guest receives no refund unless due to illness accompanied by a valid doctor's statement.
- In case of illness, only the person who is ill will receive a 100% refund. Other participants within the same booking that cancel the tour will not receive a refund unless otherwise decided by the supplier depending on the circumstances.
- No-shows, or if you miss the tour because you are too late, and cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled activity will be charged the full price.
- In case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances the tour will be rescheduled, if rescheduling is not possible or the new time is inconvenient for you, a full refund will be issued.

Amazing!
This experience is so worth it! It was amazing to be able to swim with the dolphins and an experience I will never forget. The trainer was great and gave instructions that were easy to follow for the best experience. Note you do have to be able to tread water for 30 minutes but they give you fins and we had no issues. The Dolphin Academy does a wonderful job with education about the dolphins.

Amazing day with dolphins!
Wonderful experience. Something we’ve always wanted to do. All the staff were wonderful. Very highly recommended. Our dolphins Roxette and Estrea were playful and sweet.

An Experience You Won't Regret!
I would highly recommend the dolphin swim. It is money well spent. With the ticket, you can tour the aquarium, which is fairly small and the tanks definitely need cleaning. However, the dolphin show is fun. They had some teenagers helping with the show, which was a nice thing to do for them.
Of course, the highlight by far is being able to swim with the dolphins. After a brief review of the do's and don'ts, we headed for the dolphin swim in groups of six, with each group being paired with trainers and two dolphins. It was an incredible experience, especially being able to pet the dolphins and do snorkel dives with them. The dolphins seemed to thoroughly enjoy the experience as well. In one of the other groups, a couple were not good swimmers, so they had life vests for them. Otherwise, you are given fins and swim without vests. Toward the end you can use either your own or their masks and snorkels.
