On the second floor you will travel through 500 years of the island's history. From the first inhabitants who arrived by canoe (around 1500 B.C.) to pirates, privateers and the African slave trade. The second floor focuses on the development of the harbor, including the famous floating ferry bridge, the Queen Emma Bridge, opened in 1888 by an American consul. You'll also find information on shipbuilding and a model of the Shell refinery.
